About the instructor

Larry Johnson started his career in fiber optics in 1977 and was on the team at Tektronix that developed the first field OTDR. In 1986 he founded The Light Brigade where he wrote and developed over twenty courses including three courses and certifications on fiber optics for the UTC. He is a member of the Fiber Broadband Association and Utility Telecom Council’s technology committees and the Fiber Optic Columnist for High Tech News. He has co-authored books on Fiber Optic Safety and OTDRs. His organization FiberStory is involved with providing custom courses on fiber optics and providing technology assessments on fiber optic technology.
