About the instructors
Jeff Livingston is a Senior Manager of Telecommunications at Salt River Project (SRP), where he leads the Field Area Networking Team, supporting critical communications for grid operations. With nearly 30 years in the utility industry and over 15 years in telecommunications, Jeff brings deep experience and leadership to utility communications. Since joining SRP in 1996, he has held various roles, moving into telecom in 2008 and into his current leadership role in 2022. Jeff also serves as joint-chair of the UBBA Technology and Cybersecurity Working Group.
Sergio Jimenez is a Network Engineer at Salt River Project, specializing in supporting and optimizing the Field Area Network (FAN) infrastructure. He has a strong foundation in electrical systems and communications which he uses to maintain reliable and secure network connectivity across SRP’s operational footprint in the Phoenix Metro Area. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Grand Canyon University.
Mike Waitley serves as growth and strategy leader at GE Vernova managing a portfolio of Private LTE solutions tailored to the energy sector. He has over 25+ years of extensive experience in wireless communications and has helped companies tap the emerging IoT technology solutions which unlock value for the energy, smart grid, and industrial automation verticals. Mike has held pivotal roles in business development, channel management, and product management at industry leaders including Nokia, AT&T, and currently GE Vernova. He holds a Bachelors in Business Administration degree from Iowa State University.
